Your Place Restaurant & Bar

I think there is no other place you need to go for an evening meal on Koh Samui. We stumbled across this place late one evening because everything else was closing and we had just flown in late. It’s a lovely restaurant by the beach with outdoor seating. The entrance is a little hidden and you walk through some chalets to get there. Alternatively you can reach it via the beach. They have an array of fresh fish on display to purchase every day. That evening we had cocktails because we had unfortunately eaten but from there on we came every night without fail. I highly recommend ordering the fresh fish barbecue. Come between 6.30 and 8pm to get the best choice of the fish but they do bring other fish in during the evening as the boats arrive. The highlight was the Thai style blue crab and the barbecue barracuda. Of course with some Chang beer and papaya salad. The staff were amazing! They always were very helpful and kind. They always dug in your seat on the beach so you were nice and level. We always asked what they would recommend for each fish and that’s how we came across the Thai style crab. On the last day they also put on a fit show which starts around 8.30 (this was a Friday) which was amazing. The guy was really good and his son also joined in. Both very talented I can’t recommend this place enough.

The cruisiest reggae dive beach bar and restaurant on earth. Great prices during happy hour, which lasts a very long time. You will not get a better spot on the beach. See Pai, he will look after you. And Mua has been there 17 years and is excellent with people. His English is good too. Dine with water lapping right in front of you. Lovely breezes most days. Quite an extensive menu, western and Thai. Mai Tai's are the traditional Thai style, very nice indeed. The fire show is very good, and it's on every night. My video only shows a tiny bit of it. It goes for 30 - 45 minutes. We had the prawn spring rolls and a Hawaiian pizza. Both were excellent. The shrimp fried rice was very good too. A great little spot if you like good value, great vibes and quirky to boot. We've been here 3 times now, and enjoyed ourselves each time. Try the Crepe Suzette, it's gorgeous. Get it with coconut icecream. Aroy. We will be back in Samui next year, and this is definitely on our list to return to. So chill. And, as promised, we returned in June 2024. Both Pai and Mua remembered us straight away. How good is that. Everything I reviewed above still stands. So chill here. And again 2025, the last time for a while. Still the best chill spot in Samui, by far. Our last visit for this trip - we had a delicious BBQ Barramundi, stuffed with lemongrass and Thai basil, two jumbo prawns, a clear Tom yum goong, and a papaya salad. Everything was spot on. Just love this place, which is why we keep coming back. Thank you Mua!

A great spot on the beach for dinner and drinks. Super cheap with friendly and attentive staff. We had a variety of dishes including chicken satay, vegetable and prawn spring rolls, fried rice, pad Thai and pineapple rice and all were lovely. Would definitely recommend for an easy and relaxing evening!

We had an early dinner here. They were just getting the beach set up with all the tables and lights as it was quite windy and the waves were still coming in. The staff were all pleasant and very efficient when it came to serving. The food was very good, but a bit pricey for the quality when you compare other restaurants around. No doubt it’s the atmosphere and the fact that happy hour cocktails are 120 Bhat. Beer is still expensive here at 150 for a large bottle, but no doubt the atmosphere into the evening cancels that out for a lot of people. Nice place right on the beach.

Great bar right on the beach, very chilled out vibe, super friendly staff, great prices, and happy hour is from 1400-2000hrs. They also have a fire show on in the evenings. Food is excellent, and so well priced, incredibly priced

Great staff always helpful and friendly. All the cocktails I tried were delicious. Would recommend going, they have a fire show every night at 8.20pm.

Your Place Restaurant & Bar is the perfect spot for great cocktails and food. The daily fresh seafood comes straight from the sea, is cooked to order onto your plate, and tastes amazing. Enjoy the fabulous cocktail’s during happy hour while sitting on the beach watching the sunset. The atmosphere is beautiful and staff are super chilled and friendly. They even provide a free fire show for entertainment
